It’s April, 2013 already and it’s past the time for us to be on the desert camping! There are always things to be done at home (run a new backyard water line, paint the house trim, repair bubbles on the white flat roof, put in some new fence posts, and on and on) but set our priorities high – we put the ‘work’ on hold and went camping for five days! We have some long time friends that recently came into the 21st Century when they purchased smart phones and tablets. Within two weeks we received an email to go for a ‘GeoBrunch’. They sent us the coordinates and we met them for a 10:30 brunch.

This year, 2012, we decided to go to Grand Rapids, MI, to celebrate Ray’s 80th birthday and our 54th wedding anniversary and to participate in Steve’s surprise party for Suzy Sammons on her 50th birthday.

In 1993 Stacy, our youngest son, and I started flying ultralight aircraft. We took some test flights and purchased an ultralight trike. An ultralight trike has a portable hang-glider wing and the motor and wheels hang under the wing, the trike fit on our trailer and we could take it anywhere. Continue reading

In 2004 we made a Wagon Train Trip. Starting in Clark, WY the train followed the 100 year old Meeteese Stage Coach Road. It was a trip of a lifetime. The following is a picture log of that experience.

In 2000, we operated a four-state vending machine business from Tucson. In May there were special events happening in our family, both in California and Wyoming, so we took a nine-day 3,000-mile vacation (270 miles per day) to share the events. This is a short log of our daily activities.
